Essential Skills:
Have the ability to slice Photoshop files.
Be able to create CSS-based layouts and Integrate these and HTML into templates.
Have a familiarity with usability and interface design concepts
Have expertise in hand coding XHTML / CSS to strict web standards and cross browser / platform compliancy.
Be familiar with website content population and content styling skills.
Champion technical planning processes from functional requirements through to testing.

Advantageous:
Be experienced in a full online design / development lifecycle from creative concept development and pitch to completion, though.
Have a strong knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Yahoo YUI and jQuery and source control systems (CVS, SVN, etc.)
An awareness of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation).
