Tester - Our client a global ICT company are currently looking for a Tester to deliver quality testing within the Testing Services team ensuring that contracted service levels with all existing internal and external client / teams are met. The post will be based in Runcorn with business travel as necessary. The post may require the holder to take part in an on-call rota, and to work additional hours to meet operational and service requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead the development of a Testing Strategy including the production of documentation, test specifications, test plans and test scripts.
* Create and maintain a library of automated test scripts.
* Liaise with Design & Technical and Project teams in developing testing plans and verifying the results and effectiveness.
* To track problems / defects raised and assist to a successful conclusion.
* Understand and adhere to all elements of customer's technical standards and security policy.
* Understand and adhere to all elements of clients change control processes.
* Assist in the production of resource and cost estimates for work requests and projects.
* Provide reports covering aspects of testing for customer and for internal management purposes.
* Identify potential service development opportunities and notify line management.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

* Experience in the ICT Banking industry directly related to Testing environments.
* Fundamentals of best practice in Test Management with the design, creation, build and execution of tests and recording results.
* Familiarisation of ISO IEC 90003 2004 Quality Management Standard for software products and related services.
* Creating test plans, test scripts and test data, perform system and regression tests.
* Working with users in a customer environment assisting clients with UAT.
* Have raised and assigned defects for investigation and resolution.
* Setting up test environments.
* Commercial experience of scripting languages.
* Has had exposure to other technical disciplines and has working knowledge of system and test life cycles.
* Practical experience of working within a strictly managed change control process environment.
* Has practical experience of using enterprise class incident management systems to track and escalate client incidents in line with agreed service levels.
* Hands on experience using testing tool sets such as Test Director
