Package: £45,000 - £50,000 + OTE £65,000 + benefits
Location: Based in UK with access to major roads/motorways, home based
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a software development company providing asset management solutions used by Local Authorities and Housing Associations. This is a high profile role reporting directly to the Managing Director and you will have full strategic and operational control for the development of sales. Our client is achieving massive success and growth within the social housing sector and this is a good opportunity for you to drive sales and set the commercial behaviours of the organisation for the long term.
Our Client:
- Provides an Asset Management software that allows Local Authorities and Housing Associations to analyse the results of stock condition surveys and to formulate business plans and programmes of work
- Supports projects for one op the largest building surveying companies in the country
- Recently launched a new product that is unique in the market
- Are working with over 100 organisations including some of the largest councils and RSL`s
The Opportunity:
- Involves long term relationship building, demonstrating understanding of (and interest in) the social housing sectors and by identifying opportunities to tender
- As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for the sales drive and developing/maintaining relationships with existing customers
- Identifying potential sales of additional software, training or consultancy
- Identifying new prospects through industry data, networking, tender invitations
- Contributing to overall strategy, including pricing policy, target markets, product development
- Attending industry events, seminars and exhibitions
You will be:
- A successful Business Development Manager will be tenacious, hard working and have a hands on approach
- As this is a small but growing business, the role will be varied and the key is flexibility
- You will have experience of the social housing sectors and software sales. However, demonstrable success in a similar environment will be viewed positively
- Interested in IT application, able to understand the detail and contribute ideas for development
- Familiar with the social housing sector or similar markets
- Customer focused
- An excellent negotiator, used to presenting audiences of all sizes
- Possess excellent interpersonal and written skills
Package:

- Basic up to £50,000
- Uncapped bonus scheme with realistic OTE of £65,000
