I'm looking to hook up with a number of musicians to build a 'core' team for a concept album project, currently only a studio project at the moment (so no live gigs pending). Age is not important (I'm a young 43 yr old myself!), ability, creativity and teamworker is.
This first genre project is a elektro-dub/roots reggae, space rock/prog rock concept based around a specific modern day/sci-fi issues in concepts & theme. The ending result is geared towards the first of a series of digital albums released and limited edition physical product via my own planned online label (so no big advances I'm afraid boys!). The albums will go online on numerous music marketing sites with a view to building a loyal base. It's more creating a worthy product with a view to later licensing to a major if things go to plan (thats' my side of the business).
All contributing musicians will earn a fair devided percentage based on the net revenue. (like I'm working initally for zilch too!)
Commitment is only ased on diary work, you are free to go do other things.
But with the music industry changing & consumers wants and desires, 'thinking out of the box' is the way to go. We can discuss the 'business' issues as/when we meet.

Direction?
So if you like dub and listen to the sounds of Massive Attack, Porcupine Tree, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Pure Reason Revolution, Easy Star Allstars, Radiohead, Sly & Robbie, Bill Laswell, Peter Gabriel MEETS 70's/80's elektro/contemporary elektronica/David Sylvian/Pat Metheny then you may know where I'm coming from when I mix it all up in the sound pot!

I'm especially interested to hear from:

- a good Dub bass player and capable of that sort of Pink F/prog rock.
- a real drummer/programmer (electronic kit provided)
- Male/Female vocalists for lead/main vocals (especially in a roots/dub flavour).
- additional guitarist ala the above bands.

Keyboards are taken care of.

All peeps should have a friendly, positive, chilled/peace outlook, and ability to work well with others, a team player, enjoy having a laugh with a view to working creatively on a worthwhile project. This is a social thing also, so if you want to make friends/widen your network, the more the better.
