An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Shift Manager based in Merseyside to join this major gases company.

Due to continued growth they are looking for a Shift Manager to be responsible for the operations at the site, supplying hydrogen and nitrogen to the pipeline as well as hydrogen to the merchant market.

Key responsibilities include:

* Monitoring and controlling of plant operations to meet quality and operational requirements in the most efficient manner

* Taking responsibility for identifying and resolving operational problems of any nature to optimise reliability on site.

* Maintaining good communications with internal & external customers, such as the Pipeline Customer, Transport and Product Supply Management to ensure the smooth operation of the business.

* Being the senior manager on site with regards to day to day operations. Ensuring safe systems of work and contractor control are maintained at all times.

* Contribute fully to all site and business quality, safety, health and environmental initiatives.

* Supporting site maintenance and the off site facilities as required.

Key skills/experience:
Educated to HNC level in a related discipline
Experience within a similar role and industry
Excellent problem solving, planning and coping with the demands of operating
Team leadership experience
