Morecambe Winter Gardens 7 June2008
The Winter Gardens Theatre was originally built as the Victorian Pavilion Theatre in 1897 and is situated on Morecambe's Central Promenade.
Household names that have been here, to name but a few, are Laurel & Hardy, George Formby, Frankie Howard & many many more....
Sadly the Theatre closed its Doors to the Public in 1977 and without the care its so greatly deserved over the Years the Theatre began to decline.
In 1986 the Friends of the Winter Gardens Charity was formed by a group of local Residents who all shared the same concerns for this Magnificent Building and with lots of enthusiasm and hard work, their work still continues today to restore this building back to it's former glory!
There have been many Ghost Sightings and feelings of being pushed by unseen hands at this location and in one Particular area there is a foreboding feeling sensed. On the stairs there is meant to be a phantom dwarf that pushes people. The theatre is also meant to be spiritually split into 2 half's, a good side & a evil side!
This is a huge location, partly derelict & also goes underground!
A place that will indeed keep us busy all night!

Williamson tunnels in Liverpool (first paranormal group allowed to investigate there, so it is a real privilege for our group!)
