Looking for:

Enthusiastic music journalists across cities and towns in the North West of England, who want to write for an about to be developed website dedicated (for the most part) to promoting upcoming bands in this part of the country.

NOTE: you will mostly need to be doing this for the love of music, as I can’t pay you (not yet anyway). However, I do hope that we may be able to spin free, or at least reduced entry, to gigs and possibly free demo albums from bands that want the publicity. Also, you will need to have the time to actually go to gigs, although I realise this can be difficult at times, so I’m looking for more than just one reviewer per big city.

ANOTHER NOTE: Also looking for someone who is good with web design and general internet things to help us get up and running. If this is you, or you know of such a person, get in touch and help us out. I don’t know how we can reward you yet, but I’ll think about it!

The idea: As I said, a music website primarily aimed at promoting/reviewing North West bands. My aim is to assemble a group of reviewers in the main parts of this rather large area who a) don’t mind working for free b) have a good knowledge of their local music scene and of the music they are into in general and c) have the time to dedicate to either reviewing live gigs and/or demos from new bands from the North West, and also there may be a section for reviews of bigger acts from all over the place. As I said, this is a totally new project, so I need dedicated, passionate people on this team.

I guess experience would be a good thing, but it’s by no means a must (if you have reviewed before send me a link or example, just so I can be nosy). I have reviewed for Delusions of Adequacy and Aversion.com (both US sites), links can be provided if needed.
