Business Development Officer
We are currently looking for a Business Development Officer on behalf of a Public Sector client. You MUST have experience in Children & Family services.
JOB PURPOSE
To assist in the management, delivery and review of the Children's Services Quality Assurance Framework.
To support improved outcomes for children, young people, families and carers.
To help ensure consistency in practice and quality across Children's Services.
To facilitate continuing improvement undertaken in Children's Services.
2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Quality Assurance
1. To manage the implementation of the Service's Quality Assurance Framework.
2. To work with service and team managers and help them to prepare action plans for the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance within their areas of responsibility.
3. To work closely with the Business Manager to develop and actively promote quality and practice standards by ensuring the relevant external performance indicators, standards and good practice guidance are taken into account.
4. To support the programme of data quality and audits including quarterly reviews of supervision files, quarterly file audits and quarterly reviews of file audits conducted by managers.
5. To ensure feedback from consultation, complaints, comments and compliments are used to inform service improvements
6. To support managers in completing annual self-assessments of performance and quality and to conduct a comprehensive audit of all self-assessments
7. To analyse departmental activity and produce quarterly reports on the quality and standards of service delivery, including: the outcomes of audit activity, occurring themes and key issues from customer feedback; progress against team plans.
8. To produce an annual report detailing key departmental quality and performance activity including: self-assessment outcomes; details of contract reviews; service review/evaluation outcomes; key workforce development issues
9. To ensure the quality assurance activity is used effectively to inform the planning and commissioning processes
10. To identify training needs to support improvements in quality and improvement
11. To support Children's Services in the preparation for external inspections and implementation of outcomes and recommendations
Business Process and Service Improvement
12. To carry out other allocated business improvement reviews and service evaluations to support the work of Children's Services
13. To provide advice and support to managers within the Children and Family Service on business improvement, business efficiency and service development.
14. To carry out research and consultation, including benchmarking, analysis and information gathering as part of project work.
15. To generate and evaluate options for future service delivery and design.
16. To present reports to senior managers on projects undertaken, including recommendations for service improvement. To devise and monitor action plans arising from reviews.
17. To assist in reviewing the Children and Family Service Business Plan and Operational Team Plans.
18. To analyse and summarise Government Legislation, Circulars, draft reports, consultation documents and other such documents, interpreting, reporting on and advising on their content.
19. To identify change and innovation occurring within the wider Children and Family field that will impact on the quality and performance of Children's Services for example: new performance indicators, changes in legislation, national guidance, new initiatives, existing and emerging best practice and technology.
20. To develop and implement a Project Management approach within Children's Services
