THE COMPANY - SBS is a service & maintenance contractors providing call out, planned maintenance and installation services to a number of blue chip companies across the North West. Our head office is based in Wirral and our customer base is predominantly commercial premises and public houses. We specialise in the following disciplines: electrical, heating, ventilation, aircon and refrigeration and are registered with NICEIC, Corgi and Constructionline.

THE POSITION - We are currently recruiting for several Gas Engineers across the North West (Wirral, Chester, Crewe, Preston and Blackburn). This position is home based and you will be expected to attend call outs, carry out planned maintenance visits and remedial works for customers within your area and to generally manage your own customer base.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE - Must be a time-served commercial/industrial gas engineer with relevant current qualifications and hold a full driving licence. The successful applicant will have experience of the call out regime and will be motivated, flexible and be able to show initiative and have a keen ambition to foster, build and promote our image and services. Good communication skills with customers and head office is essential.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - Core hours are 40 per week between the hours of 7.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. You will be expected to join the out of hours Call Out rota which is approximately 1 week in every 6. Salary is paid from door to door and overtime is paid at time and a half for all hours worked over core hours. The position comes with company van with fuel allowance, mobile phone, company uniform, stakeholder pension and 20 days holidays per year + bank holidays. Overtime is always available.

Salary: £12.50 - £13.00 dependent on experience + overtime
