If you are visiting Liverpool, new to the city, or simply interested in learning about your hometown, the best way to discover the city is on foot with a knowledgeable local guide. My guided tours take you around the central area, helping you to get your bearings and discover new places all while learning about Liverpool's past, present, and future along the way. The tours include all the best locations for getting great photos of Liverpool, and I will be on hand to offer professional advice for tourists looking to improve their travel photography.

The City Centre route starts outside the John Lewis department store in the new Liverpool One retail district and takes in the Albert Dock, the Pierhead with its famous 'three graces', the historic mercantile district, Mathew Street (home of the Beatles) and the Cultural quarter, with the tour ending outside St George's Hall, close to Lime Street Railway Station. You will see the full story of Liverpool, from mediaeval origins to the beginnings of the world famous dock system and how it was at the centre of world trade in the 19th century.

The Universities and Cathedrals route starts in University Square, outside Blackwell’s Bookshop at the University of Liverpool and takes in the Catholic and Anglican cathedrals, connected by Hope Street, the historic Georgian quarter, Rodney Street, and finishes by St Luke's, the bombed out church. Hope Street is a lively district containing theatres, bars and restaurants, while Rodney Street is a conservation area containing many fine Georgian houses built for 19th century shipping merchants.

Both tours are approximately 2 miles long, so you should set aside 2 hours to complete a tour. The cost will be £15 per adult and £5 for children.
