Liverpool flatshare / houseshare - rent
Great room available in lovely house near Greenbank Park (£252 pcm)
Dear house-hunters,
We have a spare double room available in a really spigging lovely house just off Greenbank Road in Mossley Hill.
Location, location, location
The house is ideally located, with a road right outside. There’s a tesco on the corner about 3 minutes walk away, with bus stops, frequented by the 86, 80, 75 and 76/77. Access to town and the airport is quick and easy, as is Speke retail park (if you dare). Greenbank Park is at the end of the road and may well be visible from the bedroom if you stick your neck far enough out of the window. I could go on about the wonderful locale, but if you look on google maps you’ll get the idea.
The House
Lovely (if slightly overgrown) garden; someone who’s good with plants/is willing to pretend to be would be very welcome. We’re hoping to have a few barbecues out there over the summer. There are lots of nice original features, a couple of curvy walls, a big French window/door out into the garden, another big window with a sort of breakfast bar, a gas range, a dining table and living room. We also have a spare room for short-term guests to stay in, a lovely large bathroom and gas central heating.
The Room
The vacant room is upstairs and at the front of the house, it’s a nice size and has a double bed, desk, chair, shelves, drawers, walls and ceiling. The floor is carpeted and there is an original fireplace, which doesn’t work, yet looks quite nice all the same. It has a handy ledge over it you can put stuff on. I’ve added a picture to give you a better idea.
The Housemates
We’re two girls in our 20’s, both working in the arts in Liverpool. We’re hoping to get someone who’s clean and tidy, sociable but not too much of a crazy party animal (have you seen that episode of Father Ted where Jack gets sent to a home when he starts growing hair on his hands, and jungle-loving Father Fintan Stack moves in, described by Ted as “worse than Hitler”? We want to avoid that scenario). We’re preferably looking for a girl to move in, not because we’re sexist pigs, we’re just not the footbally laddish types, so if you’re a bloke and you’re not a footbally laddish type either, we’ll happily meet you.
The other stuff
Rent is £252 a month, including council tax, the landlord would like the new tenant to sign a six month contract. Water is c.£10 a month each and likewise the internet (wireless broadband). Gas and electricity varies depending on the time of the year, and we pay it quarterly. Responsibility for collecting the money and paying the gas/electricity bill will be taken over by the new tenant; we have a bill each to keep things fair.
If you like the sound of the house and think you’ll get on well with us, please send me an email and we can arrange for you to come over and have a look around.
