- Churchill's ace Deli and Allan's Butchers;
- Peter Lloyd Gym (free swimming in the mornings!);
- the beautiful Newsham Park;
- plenty of supermarkets and takeaways for those unplanned food stops;
- the odd pub or two - The Park is always good for a pint;
- half an hour's walk to Anfield and Goodison if you want to check out these great stadiums.

All this and it's only ten minutes on the bus into the city centre (buses running every few minutes right through till late at night).
