Are you a completer finisher? Do you get on well with people? Assessors wanted, training provided
Do you have good attention to detail, enjoy completing paperwork and enjoy working with new people? If your answer is yes to each of these points then you would make an excellent Assessor. Due to the expansion of our training function, we are looking for new Assessors based in the NW to work on increasing case loads that we have. We work mostly with frontline staff from local authorities to train them in Cleaning and Support Services, and assess them so the individuals can gain a qualification which reflects the importance of the job they undertake.
Ideally you will be A1 qualified and have a teaching qualification, or have experience and knowledge in Cleaning Services within a local authority. Saying that, if you don’t have the relevant experience, but you show us that you have a can do attitude and the right attributes that we are looking for, then we would be happy to discuss the opportunities that we have.
Key tasks will include:
• You must be able to manage your own workload, and have a focus on quality delivery.
• Other experience within the training environment such as internal verification, key skills/basic skills training, tutoring would be desirable
• Providing high quality assessment on issues around ‘cleaning and support services’ to basic NVQ Level 2 standards;
• Seeking customer feedback on how assessment is progressing with both the learners and the employers;
• Undertaking Advice, Information and Guidance for learners, ensuring that their path to progression is suitable for the learner;
• Advising learners on other routes following completion of their qualification;
• Assisting in identifying learners for ‘skills for life’ training and working with individuals to partake in the training;
• Working with the Training Manager (Quality) to ensure the quality assurance the assessments is to the highest standard;
• Keep CPD records of personal development up to date on a monthly basis;
• Ensure that all paperwork is completed to a high standard and on time;
• Seek out opportunities to be fed through to Head of Training Development for expanding training within organisations, and identifying skills gaps and needs;
• Gather intelligence from customers on competitors and products used, referring opportunities on to Client Liaison Managers where appropriate.
